Why do children need identification? |
|
Every parent has experienced the panic of not knowing where their child is, if only for a minute. Each day children wander off in department stores, supermarkets, amusement parks, campgrounds, and even from their own backyards. Thankfully, most are quickly recovered. But even with the best parental care, nearly 2100 children a day, or almost 2 children a minute, are reported missing.
Keeping children safe involves a 2-step approach:
- Education = Abduction Prevention
Teach your child non fear-based strategies they can use if faced with a potential abduction or other threatening situation. Feel free to print out our free coloring book, safety tips, and safety quiz, so you can discuss safety issues together. This knowledge will empower them and give them confidence to react quickly. And remember, open communication is the best way to ensure that your child will tell you if something or someone’s making them feel uneasy.
- ID Products = Parental Peace of Mind
Many lost and abducted children can be recovered if their parents immediately provide police with a complete record of identification. Parents should always be prepared by keeping updated records at home and away, just in case.
Our products have been evaluated, recommended, and distributed by law enforcement officers nationwide. We hope you’ll never have to use them, but you’ll feel more secure knowing you have your child’s information on hand if needed.
